🔍 How to choose a scanner

• Wired or wireless. A wired scanner runs on USB or RS-232, needs no charging and costs less. Bluetooth models — 2600 BT, 5330, 2620 BT CRADLE, 2830 — hold a link up to 100 m, handy across a shop floor or warehouse.
• 1D or 2D. Every model here reads both linear and two-dimensional codes. For excise stamps, Data Matrix and QR choose the 7201HS or 7708.
• Form factor. A handheld with a stand is the universal till option. Stationary models (7250, 7350, 7201HS, 7708) suit when both hands are busy with goods. The built-in 4108 measures 70×23×50 mm and fits a kiosk, terminal or vending machine.
• Working conditions. The 7201HS runs from -30 to +50 °C and up to 100,000 lux — for cold rooms and outdoor counters. The 5330 survives 1.8 m drops; the 4108 is IP54 rated.
