Step 1️⃣: Get a Qualified Digital Signature (EDP)

Step 2️⃣: Register PRRO through the Tax Office Cabinet

1. Log in to the Taxpayer's Electronic Cabinet
2. Select "PRRO Registration"
3. Fill out form No. 1-PRRO

🚦 How to Switch Without Stopping Trade

The most common mistake is removing the old RRO on day one and then rushing to set up the PRRO. Here's the safe approach:

1️⃣ Prepare your business unit

Check 20-OPP: object name, address, identifier — must match the actual payment location. Submit 1-PRRO and add cashiers via 5-PRRO.

2️⃣ Transfer nomenclature and sales logic

Not just products, but also tax groups, VAT, payment forms, discounts, returns. Check receipt printing, POS terminal operation, electronic receipts.

3️⃣ Run a pilot on one point or one cashier

The old RRO remains operational. You're just testing the PRRO in a real shift: opening, sale, return, Z-report.

4️⃣ Switch the main flow

Once the pilot is successful — switch sales to PRRO. Keep the old RRO as backup for a few more days.

5️⃣ Cancel RRO registration

Submit 4-RRO, have the device unsealed through a service center. Final step — only when the new system is stable.

Cancel the old RRO registration:

1. Submit an application to cancel RRO registration (form 4-RRO)
2. Return the RRO to the supplier (or dispose of it)
3. Keep the documents — they may be needed during inspections

🏠 Note: some entrepreneurs keep the old RRO as a backup — that's also an option, but remember about annual maintenance.

⏳ Important: the service life of an RRO is 7 years from the date of manufacture. After that, the device must be written off.

🆕 What's Changing in 2026?

From August 1, 2026, updated rules take effect:

• New reporting forms for individual entrepreneurs — clarified simplified system criteria
• Expanded list of operations requiring RRO/PRRO
• Nova Poshta cash on delivery — income date = date of funds crediting, and the fiscal receipt must be issued before the customer receives the goods
• RRO exemption for mountainous settlements (turnover up to 500,000 UAH per year)
